Resetting ECU -19 16V Ph2 (F7P)

Does anyone know how to quickly reset the ECU. (19 16V Ph2 F7P)

This is actually related to my starting problem, just in case I need some road side tricks to get me out of trouble next time it happens.

Would disconnecting the positive battery lead for 5 sec be enough?

Thanks, P.

disconnecting the battery or the ecu connector for 15-20 secs should do it..

the ecu connector can be disconnected without any tools at hand ;)

that won't do it, its old but its not archaic.

Easiest and quickest way to reset everything is loosen earth/pos lead then touch it to the other lead, this will discharge all the capacitors on the car, handy to get dodgy trip comps working again as well.
