Replacing Clutch?

Just wondering, whats involved in doing a clutck on a mk2, engine out or can you just drop the gearbox ?

I think if you take the weight off the gearbox mount with engine suspension brackets, you should be able to drop it down and get to the clutch. Its not that heavy either so can be done on your own with the right kit, just remember to remove the small coverplate at the bottom 2 6mm bolts. Looking at the Mk2 manual the clutch seems to be more straight forward then the Mk1.
