Just spent 5 very satisfying hours servicing my Vee in the modern dry workshop of Rentaramp in Halifax. This might not be so convenient for most of you in the South, but for £10 per hour, including 2 post ramp/lift, Tools (loads of snap on tools, air compressor, lubes, rags etc etc) and endless tea and coffee, toilets, wash facilities. And help from Ade who is an ex Renault mechanic.
Its a no brainer really. I changed Engine Oil, Gearbox Oil, spark plugs, air filter (cleaned it as the muppet autofactor gave me the wrong size Fram filter).
All this was done for £50! (excluding parts of course)
Very, very happy and saves rolling round on the garage floor under a jacked up car.
I will even consider doing my cam belts there in a couple of years when they are due.
