5 GT Turbo Renault 5 speedo faulty??

Hi there, I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction I have a Renault 5 GT turbo 1988 and the speedo isn't working, I've just got to getting it in the air expecting to find a broken speedo cable etc but on inspection there isn't a cable and there doesn't seem to be anywhere a cable can go in the gearbox?? before taking the clocks out and looking what's going on back there can anyone offer me any advice???

There is a 3 pin wiring connector in the engine bay thats usually at fault, it joins the top and bottom halves of the speedo wiring together (its an electronic speedo). There is a reluctor ring inside the 'box that a sensor reads for speed. Someone will have a picture of one i'm sure, @Big Steve - Raider or @Brigsy
