The time has now come for me to part with my Renault 5 GT Turbo Race Car that I have owned and used for TurboRenault track/club events. I've now decided to sell this car as I'm currently in the progress of my 11 Turbo project, and want to commit to finishing that.
This is a genuine 1990 Elf Turbo UK Cup race car owned & ran by Steve Jones (It's his name on the log-book before mine) and during my ownership I've managed track down a lot more information on it's history, including a DVD of the highlights of the 1990 race series, where you can see THIS ACTUAL CAR in action in it's period livery... Over the years I have owned it, I have thrown many £££ at it to bring it to the condition it is now and there are many extremely rare Renault 5 GT Turbo tuning parts that are included in this Auction. (I know I could probably get more for this car if I sold it off in smaller parts, but I think it's better to keep everything together):
I bought this car with a view to restoring it back to it's correct period livery and make it MINT but was always torn between making it a show-piece and losing the various battle scars which add to it's authenticity so never made that decision to proceed. As part of the sales package, I will be including a full set of replica stickers, so you can sticker it back up if you want?
