The car started as Renault 5 1.1 Campus (45HP), but the car has new "heart" - 1.4 8V engine (E6J) out of Renault Clio. The engine got some new parts: complete set of gasgets for upper parts of the engine (head gasget, for valve cover, intake and exhaust gasget etc), new belts + tensioner (i don't know if that is the appropriate word), new valve seats were cut and so on. I have also ported the head and matched the ports with intake manifold.
here are some pictures:

a week ago I got my wheels (14").. ..couple of minutes spent with photoshop and here is the resault

i hope that the car will look something similar (as on the last picture) in a month or two

here are some pictures od 2 Weber 40 IDF carbs.. ..yesterday I cleaned one carb, the other one will be cleaned today.

originaly 1.1 carb (45HP) engine was in this car. engine swap was pretty straight forward, I had to modify one engine mount and exhaust (I used first exhaust elbow from clio 1.4, and original 5 exhaust to the end - without cat). electric loom was slightly modified (couple of wires were extended), I used ignition modul from clio 1.4, fuel lines had to be modified and some other small parts. but in general all was plug & play (since I used E6J engine - so with Weber 32 TLDR carb), if I had used E7J engine (with SPI) there would be so extra work with loom and ECU...
here are some better pictures:

plans for next week are: I need 90 degree SS elbows (4x 37mm inner diameter and 2x 40mm), than I'll cut them in right shape and prepare intake manifold for welding, probably I'll make first (test) fiberglass velocity stack. obviously I won't be bored ;D
One half of intake manifold is welded:

There was a small step between intake flange and SS pipes, so i had to smooth it out (before/after):

The other part od intake manifold is prepaird for welding.. ..this is how the manifold will look in coupe fo days ;D

Next task was to modify original airbox for new carb.. ..little bit of cutting, shaping and here is the resault:

Yesteday, my friend changed my breaks (to GTT spec):

This sunday there was autoslalom in Slovenia.. ..that was the first real test of my R5 with E6J (still with original 32 TLDR carb) and I'm pretty happy with the car. Times of both runs were pretty good for standard R5 with 80HP and 3 year old tyres. Till next autoslalom (29.10.) I hope the new carb will be on..
Here are pictures of my car:

I've mounted 5cm spacer under the steering wheel:
[BREAK]
There was some rust, so I rapaired that. First I've removed the rust and that paint it with protection paint:

I've bought oil temp. gauge:

And I stiped my racing seat, which will be rapaired and modifyed

In last couple of weeks a had problems with my carb. Firts problem was rubber washer between intake manifold and carb, which has follen apart.
I've replaced it with metal:
And the car still wasn't running fine (quite badly), so i got another carb which is little bit different from exsiting one (it has different mountings), so i had to make ne metal adapter for intake manifold:
Today I've done polyester spacer that will fit between metal adapter and carb:
And some "art" photos:
Here are some photos of both adapter and spacer for Weber 32 TLDR carb + 3 paper seals:
Today I've mounted new carb:
I had to make new bracket for throttle cable:

Some new pictures od my car. In last two weeks I've changed original suspension with GTT one (hubs, shocks, loweringh springs....), all new rubbers on suspension, new wheel bearings, new Lucas discs and Fritech (race) pads, torison was lowerd for one tooth...
Here are some pictures of the car...

Latest update...
...I've finally found couple of hours for changing my old box (JB1 035 - weird ratios, with FD 3.4 :roll
, with this new one from Renault Express (gear ratios better suitet to my engine, with FD 4,2.. ..thats enough for top speed aprox. 200km/h (125mph) at 7000RPM). I need short box, since I'm driving autoslaloms with this car + it's my daily driver
14" OZ F1 CUP wheels:
Sand blasting and powder coating si curently too expresive for my budget, so I've decided to clean, sand and prepair these wheels myself - this one is finished and is waiting for painting.. ..other 3 wheels are still waiting to be finished:
New 195/45-14 Toyo T1S tyres
Slowly I'm making the progress..
[BREAK]
I've finally got my new 2" gauges - oil and water temp. and tachometer.
This is how it should look when finished:
