Renault 21 Turbo 1992 Mint Condition

Reluctant sale of my Renault 21 Turbo K reg 1992.

The pictures speak for themselves, a great example of a Renault 21 Turbo, the interior and leather seats are in excellent conditon hardly any wear what so ever to both the front seats, its done only 60,000 miles with MOT's back to 1994, I know the car well as a friend owned it prior to me for over 7 years where it largely spent time off the road, its currently MOT'd and taxed and everything is in good order including the turbo, everything on the car works all electrics interior and exterior including fogs and even the turbo gauge on the rev counter works and also the central locking, the fans are in perfect working order and kick in with no overheating issues what so ever, I currently use it everyday including work and also through winter 2012 and it has never let me down even in the extreme cold and snow, it manages 34 mpg on motorway driving. Its pretty much standard on the outside however there are some sensible mods under the bonnet, it has a custom intercooler behind the bumper and a charge cooler, custom exhaust 3" from the manifold back with no boxes, blitz boost controller (can run up to 20 psi) im currently running about 10 on low boost and about 15 on high setting but this can be altered, also has a turbo timer and air/fuel ratio gauge, I have a box of spares as seen in one of the pictures so the car can be put back to its standard form as well as documentation, The car is very quick indeed. If you have any questions or requests feel free to contact me via e-mail or telephone, Genuine buyers only preferably an enthusiast who is going to look after it, no timewasters. E-mail: [email protected] & Tel: 07523361880, also advertised on pistonheads.com

Thanks.....

So it's still got the wing mount cooler - all be it a alloy one & the charge cooler takes the place of the OE top mount cooler.........

Has anyone on here got any comments regarding this set up...???? didn't "broadbandit" aka Chris have a charge cooler fitted to his Quadra..???

Looks fine to me. Some people run Charge>Inter but i'd run Inter>Charge like this one. Wonder what the lag is like it's got quite a bit of space to fill.

To be honest, i'm not really sure how a charge cooler works...hopefully someone will advise me....:chuncky:
If it reduces lag & lowers inlet temps then it must be a good thing..!!

Hello Ace1Gold….
I live over here in The Emerald Isle, Dublin and I own a lovely black Renault 21 Turbo, a lot of my friends are always asking me… “Is it for sale” and I reply no, so I see your lovely car for sale and I have just stuck the Piston Heads Advert / Link up on my facebook page so best of luck with the sale! Let’s see if any of my friends put their money where their mouth is?????
YEAH!

Intercooler encased in water, and the water is cooled by an external rad and pumped around by a little electric pump. Water has better latent heat absorption than air and its good for rear engined cars with little or no airflow.

Thanks Dave - that's why they're added to GTA's.....so is there much point in adding one - even a small one to a front engined car..???

Depends. If you spend most of your time driving and moving fast, no. If you do a lot of dragging and sitting about before sudden bursts of heavy throttle, yes. I'd put one on a drag car, or to go drag racing, but I wouldnt use one to go and blat Devils bridge for want of a better analagy.

....or in the case of a top-mount cooler that is susceptible to bad heat soak, then again yes, chargecooler.
