Renault 19 Hunting Idle - wheres the ICV?

screwed into the exhaust, just before the cat

not much 'checking' you can do to it though tbh, it's just a case of swapping it for another one.

Cheers. found it. need to get the car on ramps to get to it really.. will have to wait till weekend :( On the plus side it looks like the previous owner has tried to look after the car.. new exhaust (except for cat), new brake lines... thats a plus! but also am I right in thinking that if the exhaust was replaced and the lambda sensor not put back right it could cause this hunting?

Thanks to every one for all your help on this!

Cheers.

other than the tick over it is mint! the previous owner put a new roof on it, new Alternator, new battery, new exhaust, oil n filter and it looks like the brake lines have been renewed recently too... if I can get the tick over sorted I'll be happy.

Taking the car to a local garage tomorrow to see if he can sort the tick over as I just havent got the tools n knowledge to do a proper job! shame coz would love to to it. He is also going to change the cam belt as it has done 124,000 on orginal belt!!
