Renault 19 16v 1996 - Headlight Relay

Hi all,

I used to be on here years ago and I'm back now because I have a little issue. The other day I started her up and there only seems to be sidelights in operation. No headlights come on and no full beam either. The light on the dash doesn't light up either.

It doesn't run through a fuse so I assumed it was a relay but I can't figure out how to find out what it is. Is it possibly at the light stalk on the steering wheel or one of the relays near the fuses?

Everything else on the car is fine, maybe need a new TPS sensor but I don't want to spend a couple of hundred on sorting this minor problem out because the car is probably not worth a hell of a lot more than half a grand these days.

If you can think of anything, let me know.

Thank you!

Nick

Maybe. Although I can't actually remember if the dipped headlight sign on the dash ever worked. Not sure it did. I looked around the forum and found some old topics...might try looking for this elusive pink relay around the fusebox/centre console area tomorrow.

A faulty relay on the ph1 causes that to happen not sure bout ph2 7700777420 is the part no for the relay

there's no relay for the headlights on a ph2 19 16v.. when they aren't working, it's usually the stalk, but the most common issue is the high beam not working/sticking in the "on" position.
