Renault 19 16v 1.8 Stainless Steel Exhaust System - £60

Galahad - if you do bin the leathers i'll buy the plastic mouldings from around the mechanisms from you, if you can be bothered to strip and post them! I don't want the lever covers just the mechanism covers. Worth £15 posted?

i doubt theyd sell on here if you can get an 11 euro discount by going on to ebay, i mean we're all sitting at computers on here, how hard can it be ?

Not really the point. People were invited to make offers, and summarily failed to do so, hence theres little point me advertising them here now is there?

They are on Ebay for the final time, the exhaust system, the leather and the complete engine/box/ecu etc.

Either continue to moan about them being higher priced on Ebay (inspite of the Best Offer option!), or make an offer.

If you're not interested in them, so be it, but if any of those items are not sold come auctions end, they'll all be binned, sick and tired of looking at them.

yeah it makes fiscal sense to throw them in the bin instead of accepting 30 or 40 for them, perfect sense, fact is if you put them on here for your bin price there's a good chance they'd be gone by now, people don't much enjoy when a person offers them elsewhere for less than on here, just comes across as you wanting to milk enthusiasts instead of realizing that enthusiasts have a community and generally obtain parts for much more reasonable prices than ones stated on ebay

I've already explained the price difference, but if you're still content to continue to moan about a non-issue, feel free to carry on.

Fact is, no-one has offered £30-£40 for ANY of the items, so your fiscal argument is moot, however, either way, i'll be getting the room back they are taking up come monday morning.

Of course, i'm perfectly happy to be proved wrong and have all the items go in exhange for cash, after all, that was the point ;)

whatever mate i was just saying, frankly i use this forum to communicate with enthusiasts, people trying to hack stuff off that will never be seen again don't really concern me

"Hack stuff off".... interesting point of view that.

Would you rather that every R19 16V picked up by non-enthusiats simply took them to the metal yard for them to be crushed instead?

Sure that'll make the remaining ones worth a bit more money, but also less donor parts.

Thing is, the car was originally bought to save, but the damage was too severe.

Non-enthusiats generally don't buy 16 year old cars to save ;)

alot of stuff on here gets sold by enthusiasts and in turn it turns into trust, unfortunately, it "seems" that you came onto the enthusiasts site and "looked" like you tried to take advantage of that and hopefully make more money than you wanted, which comes across as greed, added to the fact that you havent commented on anything else at all on the site, just backs up that view.

wether or not you choose to believe it or not, is entirely upto you, but no-one likes to be thought of as "taken advantage of", yourself probably included, and you probably would have sold it by now tbh. no-one is blaming you for wanting to sell your stuff, its just the way its come across.

I've already adequately explained myself, there was no intentions to fleece anyone.

Theres not much point in me getting too involved in the rest of the site as the car I bought didn't last long before it had to be broken up, had it remained longer with me, i'm quite sure i'd be more involved.

More than anything, I specifically came to a Renault site to give someone the opportunity to get some good stuff cheap, and irrespective if the items were priced £60 or £49, either prices were cheap for the items on offer.

So be it, if people are still content to moan about it, then in a days time, both the leather interior and the stainless steel exhaust system will both be scrapped, it really is the last time they'll be listed.

Some on here it seems are prepared to allow a misunderstanding to get in the way of a bargain, that i'm afraid just mystifies me.

therein lies the problem that you still fail to see.

Alas no, its a problem for others not me.

I've explained myself adequately, and will not continue to do so.

If you feel slighted, or that i've slighted the Retro Renault crowd in general, so be it.

I've little time for petty squabbles.

I could understand if I was asking mega money for these items, but even when first listed on here, no-one could say that the prices were exhorbitant for the items in question, so much for me wanting to profiteer from enthusiats eh?
