19 Renault 19 1.8 16 valve Cabrio burgundy.

Are you sure it is Bendix? Only very early phase 2s have Bendix. Later models have a Bosch system.
well hunting down either Bosch or Bendix of the front ABS sensors would be a great start!. one of mine is broken!.. this is what it looks like and the resistance or the sensor which is way lower than the more modern ones from a clio Thalia

yup it's deffo Bendix and it's a phase 2 registered made date in 1991 so that confirms what you already know, impressive!.
Where are you based? I took out a Bendix system from my phase 1 a couple of years back and I think I might have a sensor or 2 still lying around. I’ll have a look over the weekend.

Hey, sorry for the delay. I am a hoarder and spent ages going through all the stuff I have collected over the years and cannot find anything ABS related. I think I had a clear out a couple of years back and I guess they went in the bin.

Sorry I couldn’t be more help

There was one up on eBay a while ago. Not in great condition but could be saved by a good body shop.

If you search internationally on eBay there are a few for a standard phase 2 that you could then modify to accommodate the air scoop. The main problem with this though is the cost. Postage due to size and weight will not be cheap and you will likely need to pay import tax.

There are a couple of Renault 19 Facebook groups. Might be worth posting there.

Regarding ABS, I am not 100% sure on this one but I vaguely recall that Vauxhall used the same wheel sensors. Possibly for the Astra of the equivalent age.

These are probably just as hard to find and you would need to do a bit of research first to double check this. Might possibly be an option.

I think it will be impossible to find a replacement.

You might be able to find some generic ABS sensor that you could use.

Otherwise I would suggest removing the ABS system. You need a non-ABS master cylinder and servo. You will also likely need to replace some parts of the brake lines as they will likely be too short to connect to the master cylinder.

The other parts like the calipers, discs etc can remain in place (provided they are in good enough condition).
