Removal of Boot Badges - Phase II

GlowRed

New Member
Hi,

I looking to remove the boot badges from the rear boot.

From the parts catalogue it looks like the RENAULT and CLIO badges have some sort of spikes / threads on them and are held in place with a cap or screw, through the boot panel. The SPORT and V6 logos look like they may be held on by adhesive pads.

Can anyone advise how they can be removed without damage so they can be refitted?

Thanks.

Just the Clio badge is held in with plastic spikes. I believe the other badges (Renault, Sport and V6 are all stuck on)

Easiest way is to heat the badges with a hair dryer then use dental floss to go behind the badges.

As Ali said.. Only earlier boot lids on the ph1 had pins to locate the Renault badge. All Clio badges have pins.

Food for thought before you do it though Carl, I read somewhere on line that the self adhesive Renault badge I'd no longer available. So possibly, no going back once it's gone.

There are a few new badges. Mine is from the 197, Mossy has the 200 I believe (Looks nice) worth a wee look!

Thanks for all the replies.

I'm sure I have seen this method used before. Thanks for the info Ali.

and take a detailed picture of were the badges sit before you remove them ;)

If I do take them off then definitely will be taking detailed photos of where they were.
