Red mk1 Perthsire

I saw what I thought was a mk1 red vee sitting at the end of stage 8 (Colin McRae forrest stages rally) I think it was just off the A9.

Anyone?

Not quite mate theres a few dead ones, I know of at least 3 that were scrapped.

Well spotted. That would have been me, was at Craivinean the last stage of the rally. aye just off the A9. the stage ended up being cancelled after a smash. The stage got cleared quick enough but the fire support truck got stuck on the stage where we where watching.Took them over an hour to get it out.

I only caught a quick glimpse of it Dave, I was on my way to the finish after stage 2! I heard McRae rolled the porsche? Just after I past you I seen the fire trucks racing by us on the A9. I also stopped to let Vatenan out of a layby and followed him right into Perth, had A. McRae catch up with Malcolm Wilson right up his arse, we let them by too. That Rothmans mk2 looked the daddy, got a wee wave from Richards and King Vatanen too.

I never took the vee I would never have got into the spectator parking at stg2!

Aye apperently jimmy had a smash, walked out of it tho. Ive added some pics to your mcrae stage pics thread including one of the mentioned fire truck! I made it into the stage 2 car park within a baw hair of tearing the front bumper clean off lol never again! Decent stages for spectators, was packed! do you follow the BRC aswell?

WAS IN MY DADS 407 MATE, oops caps lock. I do keep an eye on it but I have drifted away from attending in recent yrs! The last time I sen Louise Aitken Walker was in an Astra lol
