Recommended oils etc?

Hi all,

I have looked around the forum and yet to stumble across which grade and make of oil is recommended on here. Also what is the view on spark plugs and filters?

I have had no luck looking for info on the spark plugs so has anyone used Iridium plugs in the mk2 V6 and if so which ones are they? I gather Mobil 1 5-40 is the correct grade? Also the preference for replacement panel filter?

If you type the word Denso into the search box at the top right, you'll find a fair few posts mentioning Iridium plugs.

A useful topic for the air filter. I suspect majority of owners use the genuine filter which costs about £100.
