Rear seatbelt

So I've always wondered myself why there's a seat belt behind the rear net of my Vee. It's quiet short and won't extend much. Is this just to hold luggage? Who knows?

For those with small children, is it possible to fit a baby/child seat between the front seats, on the rear shelf? I'm just wondering if that belt is to restrain the child seat itself. :s

Now you're worrying me. So I see this isn't a standard part but it looks properly fitted anyway, could it be a Renault aftermarket part?

I was thinking the same as Williams, but I thought it would be a bit mad to have a kid sitting right in front of the engine, quiet exciting for him/her I suppose though... [cmilie=iconcheers.gif]

Never seen that before, must of been a mod someone made. Handy if you need to clip something in place and stop it rattling around the shelf. Preferably not a human though!

Perhaps the safety belt could have been used by someone to securely store a container holding (specialised) equipment used in their profession?

Yeah I remember asking about the belt when we met as I didn't think I've seen that before in another Vee. You didn't sound very convicing when you told me it was to hold some luggage haha! Could this be the only three seater V6?

I think it's quite cool. Probably for luggage but seems overkill.
