rear diff bolts help

In the middle of trying to swap my diff for one that i got of Stu Harding and was wondering how the hell you get the two bolts out on top of the diff cradle the ones under the rear roll bar. Ive got all the other bolts off/loose just got them ***ks left. Any help or advise welcome as really want to get this done so i can come out to play.. forgot to say that cant get a socket on them because of the bar and tried a spanner but still no good.
I dont want to pay a garage as nearly there.................. Cheers.......scott.

I can't remember how the cradle comes off, but can't you drop it down with the diff?

Or access through the boot floor....

Will have at look at the boot area tomorrow, as for the cradle that seems to be connected to the rear axle i think, i might be wrong though......cheers

It's four bolts for the rear sub frame. The top ones can be accessed by using a swan neck spanner, but its a pita to do. Every one I have changed I have dropped the rear sub frame.

How easy is it to drop the rear subframe and what needs to be undone.
The swan neck spanner wont budge them two bolts, have tried for more than i care to remember.
What a bad design having the bolts under the rear roll bar, two inches or so further back and it would be a piece of cake.
Rant over..............cheers..

Er four bolts holding the sub frame, one holding the rear diff, make sure its well soaked it's the rear donut (its a bolt through rubber) bolt. Then the rear suspension. Six? (may be eight) holding the rear prop. the rear brake lines and cables. These can be left on but will restrict movement. That's all I think.

Good news after 2 hours of hell i have finally got the 2 bolts undone and the diff lowered onto trolley jack.
Just a quick question though how do you part the rear driveshafts from the diff, all the bolts are undone but they wont part.
Once i have got the shafts parted i can start to put the new one i have on. fun,fun,fun........not......look forward to replies............thanks.........................

I did give it a whack with hammer but not very hard, will give it a harder whack and hopefully start to put new diff in over the weekend. Thanks for your reply s......cheers...
