re map??

Existing ECU can be remapped using the OBDII port under the ashtray. There are a couple of options.

Also piggy back ECU's and Full replacements are also possible with different degrees of cost and effort etc. Bearing in mind the stock ECU does more than just ignition timing and fuel injection so it will likely need to be retained even if a full replacement ECU is fitted - unless a dashboard is included i.e. motec dash.

cheers for that info! i will look into it at my local tuning garage! :thumb

The gains are pretty low, so I'd ignore any tuning garage who offer significant gains.
Personally I think it's a good (but not particularly cheap) mod.
Try Paul at RSTuning for the simple fix or Scott at SRG Motorsport for directions on the bespoke stuff.

my neighbour does chip tuning on all sorts of cars and is currently working on a box that you just plug in your obd socket, the good thing about it is as well that you can set it to original and "race" mode in a split second.. handy if your car is under any kind of warranty.. i'll keep on checking up on him with the prices and gain of power...
