Megane R26 - Sticky Clutch

Hi all

Having a bit of a problem with the clutch on my R26. When releasing the clutch after changing gear, the pedal will stick half way! So I then have to use my foot to flip it back up to normal position.
Weird thing is it doesnt do it all the time, however it does do it a couple of times a day.

Whilst driving to work this morning, I got a load beep, with the engine management light flashing and a 'braking failure' error message.

I then checked the fluid level and it has definitely gone down as I check them regularly!

Anyone have any ideas what the problem is?

Also, does the clutch and brake system use the same reservoir?

It seems like the clutch slave cylinder is leaking or if you lucky the master cylinder.
Both brake & clutch systems use the same reservoir hence the brake warning.
Unfortunately if it is the slave it's gearbox out.

i feel your pain mate, hope you get it sorted.If the pedal is playing up and you are losing fluid and you can't see any around the reservoir, i'd say slave cylinder may be on way out.

I suspected the slave and master cylinder too!!

Had a look and cant really see the master cylinder leaking! Booked into the garage on Tuesday tho!

How reliable is it to drive over the weekend do you think??

However if it is the slave that means I will get a TTV SMF flywheel and an R26R clutch and a remap! [emoji16]

Where is the cheapest place to get the parts?

difficult t say if it'll last, mine gave no warning at all. For parts, give Andy Bond a shout on here, hope you get it sorted without too much hassle.

If no visible signs of leaking, without doubt its your slave. The pedal not returning can also indicate air in the system
