there are a few that have though it depends how you want to do it. the easiest would be turbo the 172 F4R and use the stock 172 box over the 225 F4RT and 6 speed box, the 6 speed will require fabrication to the chassis to fit where as the 172 engine and box is near enough bolt in. I am generalizing with the F4R engine rather than just the 225 variant
no mate i just dropped it in to see what it was like dident have time to turbo it becuse i was selling my house and buying a new one and dident have the time or money to spend on it at the time
anything "fits" if you can cut weld and fabricate. The other way to do it is F4RT engine, re drill the block and fit a 172 gearbox along with flywheel and sump (sump will allow alignment of gearbox)
If it was me doing it id buy a cheap clio 172, swap it all over into the 5 then turbo it after. long run it would be easier and cheaper than buying everything individually.
you can use bits out of the meg engine but tbh its not worth it. To get to meggy power on the 172 engine bolt a blower on with a super thick head gasket to drop the comp ratio and you will see 280bhp with the right turbo and mapping. after that its forged pistons and rods same as the Migraine
yeah but no point using them in a 172 block as the pistons dont fit properly due to the clio having VVT and the meg not so they will meet each other. When you add in machining them to fit or loosing the vvt you might of just saved stripping 2 engines to build one and just slapped rods in with clio specific turbo pistons
