quiet

My BG vee has all of the things you mention Ag... Love it.. even though I’m yet to really get to know it. The car just feels more “drive me”

Do it..! :race:

As for it being quiet... I woukdnt know where to start without offending someone. [smilie=icon_eek.gif]
Was hoping you wouldn’t say that Shaun - already got Scott to price up the bits and was just waiting pull the trigger. Gonna get my head down and earn some decent bonus cash to make myself feel better about the expenditure - you only live once and all that!

Scott has got a new supplier on the flywheel and clutch sides - looked like impressive kit.

Seats next - want some Recaro CS’ - but eye-watering prices!

How is the KW coilovers working with the sleeping policemen?
I've heard of a owner here in Norway that said the car got so low he couldn't drive over them.

I am thinking of maybe sparkle a little LSD over the car for that extra magic while driving, but is it worth it?

My ‘mothballed’ phase 1 has Recaro CS and KWs. I’ve bought the lightweight clutch & Quaife LSD for the rejuvenation.

Unfortunately, the Acid is having its cambelt+ refresh work over and this has become priority.

This is on KW but with marginally longer springs to accommodate the Trophy splitter. I think the ‘bouncier’ OEM suspension is more vulnerable to front bumper damage than KW... just my opinion.

The previous poll outcome was..... only 15 people bothered to vote. 70% voted to shut Facebook
Does that mean a majority do frequent FB, or just that most just couldn't be bothered to vote.......

Thinking aloud - thinking of spoiling the Vee; LSD, Lightenend Flywheel, KW suspension.

Anyone done all the above - what were your thoughts?
All of the above Jit - had them installed in 2014, and was put to good use at Goodwood and on our Lake District run, when it was very wet......felt the Quaife ATB kicked in on the tight uphill bends (where it was damp/wet).

Is the transformation of your 993 now complete?

FB is certainly busier Dulan. The forum/club is like paying huge rates for an empty shop. ;)
I use FB on an as-needed basis only, for a quick browse only - I have my reasons for that. As such, hope you are not looking to close down this club/forum though James........

This place needs to stay open....

Not sure what help I could offer but willing to help in any way reqd.

We shall see what the outcome is. All I can say is that it’s not my club, and I won’t say too much without offending someone.

Managed to take my Vee for it's first proper blast of the year on Monday night - had quite a few places to go in a limited time and it was 9c outside and dry so was the perfect opportunity - did a good 50 miles on a mix of roads and was glorious!! I don’t visit the forum much these days but I’d be very very disappointed if it were to close :( :( [smilie=icon_eek.gif] [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

Like quite a few folk I don’t use Facebook and can’t see me doing so really, the forum is still an invaluable source of information for our great cars, and as such everything should be done to keep it going in my opinion.

Over the years I’ve met quite a few fellow Vee enthusiasts at various meets and they are great folk to meet up with from time to time.

I’m sure quite a few would be prepared to help contribute towards costs to keep the forum going in the longer term.

Cheers,

Phill

Hi everyone, it’s been ages since I last logged in but great to see lots of familiar posters.

Hope you’re all well and enjoying your Vees. It’s been 10 years since I got my first one and nearly 5 years since I sold up for good. No regrets but every now and then I wish I had one in the garage for a quick blast. Very happy times :)

Who owns the club now James, if you don’t..?

I’ve never considered this collective as something that is owned. My name was used to register the domain/website, so in a very loose sense it could be seen as being a possession, but only if one has a need to own things.

The domain registrant will be in a different name as soon as I get a minute to sort it out.
