Things pick up in the Spring Summer

I rarely have anything to say, being shy and retiring, but hey ho. The car is on my mind a lot of late as 16 years of ownership is fast approaching and 19 years have passed since I placed a £250 deposit (must find the receipt for that). Too cold to consider venturing out in the car though.

My phase 2 was due MOT last November but the weather was rubbish, salty roads and rain, so I held off and yes I'm still holding off ! Up till now it's always been MOT'd on it's aniversary. So not much happening there.
My Phase 1 is technically no longer a vee but i've been busy moving it on with occasional posts on 'special projects', no one seems particularly interested though. I'll probably post when it's finished so you guy's can see what an awsome motor i've created !! [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

Must say given the weather last week, I am sure most of us have been indoors for most of that time.............let alone even contemplating venturing out in the Vee.

I have a question re MOT's. My airbag light is currently on due to steering replacement (Need to check resistors etc).

This is an MOT fail I assume. Black electrical tape over dash light to get me through?

2014 was the year I was stung for "Supplementary Restraint System warning lamp indicates a fault (5.4.2)", I was informed that wiggling your hand under the seat to extinguish the air bag light was no longer a solution, it's considered a fail now, Sir. I think they called me Sir to make it easier for my wallet to fall open and for pound notes to fly out of it.

It really depends on the connection is its playing up on the day, and I might have done the tape trick before but can't remember!

We could close Facebook during the winter months, but 70% of the FB members have Xmas dinner on the beach.

Surely just because some cars are tucked away for the Winter months doesn't mean this place goes quiet? I'd have thought with the dark nights etc it should be busier in reality.

FB has taken a great deal of traffic away from quite a few car forums.

My BG vee has all of the things you mention Ag... Love it.. even though I’m yet to really get to know it. The car just feels more “drive me”
