Quicksilver Exhaust Mind of It's Own

Im having a major problem trying to get my exhaust to stay in one place. I had it fitted a while back at ktec and once fitted it was almost dead centre, but by the time i got home it had moved up and was almost burning the bumper. So i took it to a local exhaust place and they tried as hard as they could to get it centred but couldnt manage it, they undid both clamps and held it centre and then did one up and then the other one wouldnt line up. Eventually they managed to get both done up but it still doesnt sit in the centre of the holes and is still moving upwards towards the bumper.

Can anyone give me a bit of help or even some tips of how i can get it centred? Is there something that i can undo which will mean that i can shift the exhaust a bit? Is there a good way to stop the backbox from moving everytime i drive the car?

Cheers

Check out the WIKI I did on fitting the QS OMG - there's some useful tips on how to get the zorst lined up with the centre holes and keep it that way till the clamps are tightened....did you alter the telescopic arms before centering..?

PM me if you need any further help....I have pics..! :D

Did you undo the 13mm bolts that are attached near the front facing rubber bushes?

There is a a lot of movement upwards/downwards once they are undone.

Get the back cut out as per the trophy racers, thats what i've done. But then it looks so good with my Trophy splitter too [smilie=hide.gif]

I think the main problem is the poor downpipes not the rear box.

Ive just fitted new down pipes to my Mk1 and the fitment is 100 better then the original system, which never alinged up right.
