Quadra 1991 Hplate

in red, 6 months tax - 1 months MOT (due in April), recent 2 new front wheel bearings,and one one the rear, new front discs - drilled Nitrac type, new pads all round, 200K miles, but engine is in very good nick, I changed oil every 3k. New hybrid MD80 turbo at 160K, magnecor leads, halo spark plugs. Interior is grey velour in very good condition. Refurbed original alloys about 18months ago, spare alloy also refurbed. Stainless exhaust, I had it made, its similar to renault spec, so its not loud.

I changed the radiator fan switch to the cooler type to make the fans come on just a little earlier, both fans work by the way. Radiator was new 20k miles ago.

I painted the underneath of the car with anti-rust and then over that with chassis epoxy paint so rust is not an issue underneath. On the rear door bottoms there is some corrosion and on one wheel arch, behind the intercooler, other than that just small spots of rust. I have a spare rear door in red.

diff lock switch doesnt work, the switch itself is faulty, but these are still available from renault I believe.

I put new headlights on it about 5 years ago and new H Brake cables about 2 years ago. Gearbox good, rear axle good, propshaft good.

If you can do a little bodywork this car will be good for a few years yet.

I want ?300 for it...

gave up on Jap stuff, and went back to boats, far more fun

quite glad to be out of the car scene with all the crap that can go with it, just pop around different sites to keep intouch with some people

provisionally the car is sold to a local mechanic, he'd seen me driving around in it over the years and always liked the car.

hi eveybody, im andy fieldhouse,ex renault bodyshop painter, andy hey rang me and told me the mechanic didn't want the car, so i've bought it, that guy has missed out on a great car. i picked it up last sunday and have used it all last week, it starts first time, runs perfectly, its a credit to andy's ownership over the last 14 years. yes there are one or two things to fix, some central locking probs, a few rattles, poor hand break, but nothing bad. on the whole its a good example and in a few weeks time,i'll get a new mot, then sort out the rear arches etc and respray the car. im going to the pescot weekend at the back end of may and hope to take the car down as a demonstration and show vehicle for my new bodyshop business along with an alpine gta gt v6 which is also a restoration project. so going to be busy. i'll post some progress pics of the 21 as get on with the bodywork, its a good base so it should turn out great.....cheers
