QS SPORT?OMG QUESTION

Hi,

With all the debate over the loudness of the OMG version, can I ask is the sound ever bad or just loud?
I want to get one. Car is not used every day and is a mix of town (50% I guess) and motorway/a road when it is used.
I dont want to make the car unusable but i dont mind the (right!) noise. thanks in advance for any replies

I understand what you mean by the right noise. Finding a balance between the puny standard and the sporty is difficult. Swapping the sweet engine roar for a monotone din.

Perhaps someone could take you for a spin in theirs?

Do you really lose a lot of engine noise? I have an induction kit but would prefer not to have a car that sounds like the Punto i heard this morning! Keep standard or change?

There is an Oxford meet in two weeks if you're about come over, I dont mind taking you out, mine has the best of both worlds.....piper induction and OMG :approve: then you can get an idea of how loud it is.

The noise is fabulous and not daft. The QS backbox is an item of quality and beauty.
The cabin drone (in my opinion) is awful at speeds in excess of 60mph.
I bought a QS sport new, kept it for 2 years until it broke my resolve...
...mainly because I live where there's zero congestion and fast roads.
Had I lived in London, I'd still have it - NO QUESTION.

I was always intrigued whether the K-tec and the Orbisoud were more civilised -
However, I suspect they're all much-of-a-muchness...

Anyway, the OEM backbox fitted keeps my Vee much more of a Q-car.......................Not! :badgrin:
