Has anyone ever tried offering up a Punto GT inlet manifold to a C1J engine for an EFI conversion rather than having to re-machine the original C1J one? :read.gif:

They look similar...

Saab 'reds', which should be good for mid 200hp. There is a bolt-on fuel rail (which I can't bloody remember now which model it's from) that has a 3bar reg' already in situ on the rail, to make life a bit easier.

forget the fabia manifold with a bit of trimming and redrilling it will go onto the head but once on the car it sits to low and requires the rerouting of the downpipe. as I first went that route when adding EFI and all was well up to trying it on the car.

is there not enough space to have a custom downpipe in there? dont suppose you have a top view do you? id be confident in doing a cut and shut on a downpipe over the inlet

So got the Punto GT manifold in the post today and had a little play! :) Unfortunately not as similar in size as first thought... offered up a C Series Gasket for reference and you can see it's only the right size in one of the 4 inlets... :(

So I then dug out the Skoda Fabia inlet I had to just take a picture for your reference and you can see it's a good match, straight out of the box! It's just the matter of the "dangly bits" getting in the way of the exhaust (as mentioned by @roy h) that cause the problems:

The fabia manifold looks pretty poor in my opinion. You could probably chop it about a bit and knock something up out of the two. Just whack some injector bosses onto the oe manifold and a throttle body or buy a tierney one it will probably work out cheaper than the fabrication costs. Ideally if power is the goal you need a proper plenum like glens old inlet but you will need to chop the bulkhead.
