Clearing up the last few irritating but necessary jobs required for an MOT.
Because I had to move the washer bottle from its usual home to make way for some other stuff, I had to find somewhere else for it. Passenger side scuttle is empty.
The standard washer reservoir has a really long neck on it so I cut it down and plastic welded the top back on, idea was to have it just poking out of the scuttle cover like a clio or something.
Then I changed my mind and didn't want it poking out, so got hold of a mk1 clio one instead which is much shorter. Sits in the scuttle nicely. Re routed the wiring and hoses and that's done
Need to make a bracket to hold it.
Also got my strut holes slotted on the mill this week
So that allows me to stand the wheels up straight. I try to have parts that are replaceable/consumable unmodified so I'll use these to get the required slot length worked out and then when I get new dampers I'll machine the slots in the hubs instead.
Also treated it to a new lambda:
Main tasks still remaining before MOT:
Fuel filter bracket (currently cable tied to a brake pipe... not ideal)
ECU mounting bracket (currently hanging loose in the engine bay)
New windscreen
Weld up hole in front of OSF chassis rail.
Find and refit horn or rewire to use the megane ones.
Paint steelies and get tyres fitted
