Project Season

Random conversational thread for no real reason...

I'm delighted to see the projects section springing back into life, weather must have taken a good turn over there in the last week, got slightly better here today too so maybe i too can update my long over due project report too.

More stripping right now for me, that and repairing the speedo (anybody got a speedo cable base), also replacing the front shocks and pads.

Also on the agenda before the van goes all offensive and orange is to build a new exhaust, repair some minor body issues (surface rust and one 2.5" squared hole below the drivers side windscreen) then it's off to the sprayer and on with the orange.

So what's on everyone elses agenda project wise and how close are all of the active projects to completion (or as near as we can get cos they never really are completed)?

Well even though I have my 19 showing as 'finished project' in my sig, as you say no project is ever truly complete is it. So at the moment it's currently sat in the garage and hasnt moved for 6 months or so. It has no engine in it as I'm meant to be building another 1.8 for it. Need to give myself a kick up the arse and just get it done really.

The 11 I do the odd thing to as and when I feel like it (which is not often when it's cold out)

Understandably car activity has been as low as can be got away with during the winter months but will soon start to pick up once more.

just want to get the damn car running again. Apart from the wheels getting done most of my efforts are maintaining not improving. Once she is a goer again i'll tart her up a bit.

blue chamade needs a fuel tank as it leaks over half full.

white chamade brake pipe and clutch

laguna wishbones done, oil and filter changed and cambelt and rear bumper due to her bump.

grey 16V hatch needs the new panels welded in and the engine and subframe stuck in it.

black ph2 chammy needs stripped, cut up and weighed in.

and tbh I think I'll get that red one which needs a a wee bit done...

today:
new aux belt & put everything except the inlet manifold back together Need some random bolts and jubilee clips then i can flush the cooling system and change the oils then turn the key...

oh and the other 2 wheels would help :P
