Found on here being advertised for parts i contacted the seller and asked to view the car with the idea of saving it from being broken up.Went to have a look and thought it was ok.The deal was done and i went up to somerset to collect the car.Had to be recovered due to no tax and the clutch cable jumping off the pedal mech + no exhaust backbox.

First up gave it a good jet wash:

Had a closer look at this:

Hmm not great.Will need to sand out the filler see how bad it is.
I have a new exhaust backbox on order and new clutch pedal mech to fit, need to order a new clutch cable.
So here is the to do list:
Sort clutch cable and pedal mech
Fit rear exhaust section - DONE
Needs airbox & mounting frame
Replace rear spoiler [have the one from chris red dragon to fit] - DONE
New wipers all round
Service
Replace seats
Good polish all over
Have a original Stereo to fit and set up - DONE
Get It Taxed... MOT Due start of Feb 2013
[BREAK=Work Begins]
First up was to look at the clutch pedal as the cable would pull through and fall off when it was pressed.Turns out the 2 black plastic arms inside the pedal were damaged/cracked.Had a new mech to fit to the pedal but turns out its a pattern part, really bad fit after about the 50th time of trying to fit it all up without it all pinging off and landing in a pile on the floor i gave up :x

So moved onto the next job exhaust backbox:

Fitted:

Just need to tweek the hangers a bit to line up a bit better.
Sills:
Time to have a look under
Ok here:

Plate fitted here, Lip a bit rusty/bent up:

Hole near the front:

Closer view:

Overall not too bad seen worse

Cant get to the other side yet as the car is tight up against a wall and can't move untill i sort the clutch pedal....:?
[BREAK=Rear spoiler]
Ordered a new clutch pedal from renault today £58.44 :evil:
Then moved onto getting the spoiler swapped over
So heres the old one, you can just make out the white bits where the paint has worn away:

Removed, also painted rear wiper arm and fitted a new blade.Fitted replacement spoiler [with thanks to Chris H from his red dragon project]
Much better!

Also gave the wheel arch a quick spray to keep the weather out as its about to rain down here

Not great but will do for now.
[BREAK=Slow Progress]
Feb 2013 , Weather put a stop to doing much to the car, but managed to find and fit the OEM stereo..

Also fitted the clutch pedal.. its working but very stiff, so thinking its the cable, fork bush or clutch mech itself.
Been using the down time to hunt for parts.So far i've picked up
New Battery
New NS Door Mirror
New Dizzy Cap , Rotor Arm , Leads & Plugs
Second Hand ECU [as a backup]
New Fuel Filter
New Light Switch Stalk
New Number Plates
Just need the weather to improve so i can crack on with it
Number Plates:

New Plates Fitted...Looks Better
Got the other side sideskirt off for a look:

Been plated at the rear.. few holes along the lip and underside. Oh well :roll:
[BREAK=Work Continues]
Now the weather has improved i have been getting on with a few jobs....
Went to see Craig the other day and picked up the front seats that were up for grabs, passenger side fitted.........

Also made a start of cleaning up the underside.The floorpans, crossmembers are quite clean, its just the outer sills that need sorting....

Got a few other jobs done: fixed the leaking water line to the rear washer.New front door key locks & handles fitted.Sorted rear center seatbelt [it had been cut to fit some sort of 3 point harness ??]
More updates soon....

[BREAK=Long Overdue Update]
This project is still ongoing. Found some good front seats on e-bay...

Also have been cleaning / derusting the underside, then painting with epoxy paint from rustbusters + some stonechip spray to finish up.....

The rust on the car is overall not too bad, But as usual its the sills that are the worst part

This was the result after cutting back to good metal
Next up is remove rear beam to sort the rust......
