If I start my car in the drive and leave it a few minutes before driving off, there is often a condensation mini-pool from the AC unit.

I see it on quite a lot of cars actually.

Possibly this?
 
Condensation would be my bet which explains why cars can corrode in a what might appear to be a dry garage without temperature control ...

Your water pump is this side, maybe worth checking the coolant level just to be on the safe side.

But more than likely condensation escaping from your exhaust joint's until the exhaust fully warm's up, in turn sealing the joints.
