PRESCOTT LA VIE EN BLEU - 26th & 27th MAY 2012

The Bugatti Owners' Club sixth annual pageant of French motoring excellence takes place on 26th and 27th May and this spectacular two-day event is set to be the best yet. You can enjoy classic British marques on Saturday and an almost exclusively French display on Sunday. Special guests include the Bugatti Veyrons and Breitling Wingwalkers display (weather permitting on Sunday at 4.00pm). As well as top class racing, visitors and families can enjoy the wickedly witty Gendarmes, live music, dancing, plus food from the Creperie.

Day tickets are £15
Weekend tickets are £25

Register and apply for tickets and a parking space in the Renault Clubs' area by completing the form below:

Registration Form

Registration entitles entrants to:

  • A parking space for their vehicle in the Renault Clubs’ exhibition area in the Orchard.
  • Use of the Renault hospitality unit and refreshments for the driver and passenger(s).
  • Renault Classic goody bag for the driver.
  • Entry into a prize draw to win (for example) a ride up the hill in a Grand Prix Bugatti.
  • Participation in any additional events organised for the Renault Clubs including any Concours or Cavalcade(s).

Competition entrants from participating clubs who complete a registration form and display their car in the Renault Clubs’ area on Saturday will receive a Renault Classic goody bag and another gift.

Renault UK have sponsored an additional award for the ‘Fastest Classic Renault’ in addition to the Bugatti Owners’ Club Fastest Time of Day & Class Awards. All registered competition entrants are eligible. The award will go to the fastest registered entrant regardless of the class entered. Non registered vehicles are not eligible.

Meguiar's UK have sponsored an additional award for ‘Best Classic Renault’. All registered vehicles are eligible. The award will go to the vehicle considered to be the best presented in the judges’ opinion. It does not need to be completely original. The judges’ decision is final. Non registered vehicles are not eligible.

Renault UK are kindly providing the hospitality unit and bringing along a selection of cars from their collection.

We will be celebrating amongst other anniversaries 50 Years of the Alpine A110, 50 Years of the Renault 8 and 40 Years of the Renault 5.

We hope to have Barrie 'Whizzo' Williams competing in a selection of Renault cars in the hillclimb on Sunday amd the Ayrton-Senna Lotus-Renault 97T will be making demo runs along with the Bugatti Veyrons.

A great event and not to be missed!

I would be up for this - for Sunday (27th) only. Never visited Prescott before so will be a new venue for me.......

Does this mean that members of v6Clio.net are classified as members of "Renault Owners Club"?

Most of us are members of the Renault Alpine Owners Club which mr dell runs and sorts out events like this

As Captain says Dulan, not Renault Owners Club, Renault Alpine Owners Club 'RAOC', is the club that fronts this for 'Renault Classic' with full support and backing from RUK. It's not a major event for us so no tent of our own. Instead we have the benefit of RUK hospitality wagon, courtesy of RAOC. Incidentily, RAOC is run by our own forum member 'RenaultAlpine'.
This is a great event, with much to see, both static and watching the hill climb competitors. A very popular and vibrant event!
Of the 2 days, Sunday is the one that best suits us, as it has a slightly heavier bias to French cars such ours.

A great day out, and hardly a chav in sight :)

Will be arranging a little convoy for the drive over there, if you want to join in. No sat nav required ;)

Thanks for clarifying that guys. Guess I could be a bona fide RAOC member for the day, so am definitely up for it - will send the registration form and payment to Stephen.

Good to see that there will be some action as well as displays - quite enjoy the format of the like of Goodwood Festival of Speed, Race Retro etc.

Indeed would be good to join the convoy. I see that we will have to take the M40 (again), and the same route we got stuck on (A40/A44) but hopefully all should be well on the day. Meet at Beconsfield Services again Shaun?

Yes you are welcome.

Are there only 3 Clio V6's attending?

Nope..... List requires updating ;)

Aciiiiiiiiiid!

I'm afraid this event is going to be a final-hurrah for V6YEL until it goes into longer term storage. Before storage it will have the OEM silver wheels fitted, new OEM rear discs and pads and a front-end detail (including fitting of my prized Russosport splitter (colour coded)).

At that point, VE02VEE will become my new play-thing. it's in great-overall-order : but is in dire need of a lacquer restoration on the CF trophy-esque rear spoiler before it can be publicly viewed...

Good lad!!! Looking forward to seeing the old girl again ;) We see far too little of Acid Yellow in my opinion. :salut:
