Phase 2 V6 broken front spring

Good afternoon everyone.
I have just joined the forum so hello to all you V6 owners.
I’ve had a phase 2 since 2007 and it’s been a fantastic little car.
I have not really used it in the last 10 years but I took it for mot last week and it needs a new front spring.
You cannot get them from Renault so I guess I’m going to have to get one manufactured somewhere.
Does anybody know where I could get this done.
I wait in anticipation!!
Cheers
Chris.

SGMotorsport has replacement, but I believe they are prioritised for his customers. My guess is the other springs may be on borrowed time too.

Mine was also in for an MOT having been off the road for a while. Need 2 front springs, did you have any luck with any of the 2 above Christopher?

anyone any joy on sourcing springs? I still need to get 2 for my MOT :/

I’m going to stick my neck out and state that all V6 owners might want to switch to KWv3 coilovers. As the OE springs and shocks are no longer available, it seems silly to keep chasing those. SGM will have a source to fabricate OE springs & Koni will service their own dampers - so it is possible to continue with the original set up… but why bother when KWv3 are available instead? (Other coilovers brands are available too).

It does seem the most future proof solution doesnt it.

Hi , it’s Saturday afternoon and after beer o’clock so bear that in mind. My car has 74k miles and I’ve done 53k of them. Scott fitted KWv3 to mine in may this year. They are in my opinion possibly the best improvement I’ve made to the car since Recaro Sportster CS seats. It’s not worth trying to chase “originality “ if you intend to use the car. Garage queens are obviously excluded from this post.
