Thought it might be of interest on here (Duncan), I don't have any details on the car apart from it turned up at "Cars and Coffee"

Cheers for posting Sam! definately of interest.

I have seen it before, its registered in Mexico (pressumably to get around the fact you cant legally register these for the road in America yet - must be 25 years old).

Theres a handful of Phase ones in Mexico.

They look great pictured over there.

Your theory of it being a Mexican car fits with the link I posted where by the dealer seems to think the Beetle and Clio both crossed the boarder.
