Phase 1 Full cat back system and Manifolds query

Hi all,

Im thinking about getting a new exhaust fitted to the Vee soon, after a search on here I've decided on the 'Janspeed' system,
Ive seen 'Larkspeed' sell it, Ive seen that they do the manifold and sports cat as well as the cat back system,
Just wondering if anyone has had that combination fitted to a phase 1, would the emissions light come on and problems passing an MOT?
also, is the induction noise still audible?
or if just the cat back system,
I find that the standard system has quite a drone at motorway speeds, is the Janspeed better in that respect?

...where do I begin? Lol!

Drone from standard system? That must be your non-OEM induction because OEM system is fine.

Induction won't be heard very well (if at all) with after-market boxes. They're all pretty much noisy.

Emission lights - I can't answer... but surely that's the whole point of sports-cats and I would want assurances from the supplier beforehand.

Many thanks I didn't think about the induction system, I'll have a check and see what system it is, its due to go to SG Motorsport soon as well.

That should be ok, just looking for it to be a bit vocal from the exhaust,

Ill drop Janspeed an email to see about the sports cats, see if there could be MOT problems

James, I've got the full janspeed system fitted and it will go through a mot fine but the management light will come on ,I've had to get my garage reset it for me a few times but it doesn't cause any problems it's just a bit annoying .

Annoying about the light but good to hear that It doesn't cause problems. How's the sound inside the car when cruising at motorway speeds?

James,there no droning at all at high speed thank god ,that's the reason I ditched my old quicksilver sport back box ,it was horrendous on motorways ,had to wear earplugs it was that bad [smilie=icon_cry.gif]
