..........on eBay (no reserve) - current bids at £3,600: LINK

In the V6 Register: #187
The Plaque reads "No I 187" not "No 0187". - what is the story behind the plaque?

Known to the club, and has a bit of history: LINK, LINK & LINK

A real shame since this is one of the Phase 1 press cars! Press Cars

I probaly mentioned it another thread but this car deserves some love. I viewed it when it was on its second owner and was in Edinburgh. Completly standard a book full of service history and stamps. The only thing that put me off was somewhere in the forum it mentioned 'DIY rebuild' this actually related to another car after a fair bit of digging. It sold very cheap and you can see what has happended to date.

Anyway was a good car when I viewed it and drove it have pictures of it somewhere too. Rather nice its a press car too

Yep buyers beware the seller was a right messer and it looks like it's from the same area and seller on ebay to. Was a few years ago now but click on the first link that Lankan has put up and you will know why
One more thing why is it sold on eBay as car parts and not on the car section ? It was sold this way last time to !!!

It wears one of the fake plaques made in the group buy a few years ago. as if keeping track of the cars wasnt hard enough already!! lol

Was a nice car when Mark owned it.

You have reminded me to post an update in the press car thread, I have been working on a master list of them.

Yes , was my old car traded it in 2011, sold on to someone who sprayed the roof black and other mods. Despite some unjustified historic comments it was a good car when i owned it. I fitted the duck spoiler, phase 2 rear lights, updated lid handle and front bumper painted with a new chin spoiler. There was already a small discrepancy in the front wing colour, but I understand it may of been re-sprayed after I sold the car on. The story behind the plaque was my original one had a small scratch, so i bought a copy through the group buy here, not realizing it was to come with a prefix '0'. I still have the original plaque attached to a frame of a magazine article along with the original number plates :approve:

Not that far from me if the location is correct on ebay, I could take a look if anyone is interested?

I haven't seen it on the road but have been in touch with the owner, he's owned it for 5years and only selling to setup business. He's gutted to be selling.

Did you buy it from Edinburgh Mark?

Found a screen grab of an old advert of this car from May 2010, looked lovely there & criminally cheap!
