ph2 exhaust backbox rubber mounts... (new mounts fitted!)

Hi, my rear exhaust box is catching on the rear bumper and sounds to be vibrating quite badly, at least i hope thats what it is!

The rear tail pipes are resting on the bottom of the holes of the bumper so until I get the bumper off Im guessing the rubber mounts have perished. Question is, has anyone ever changed these before? Before I ring up Renault for prices, are there any aftermarket options?

I found this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=12060&p=102166&hilit=exhaust+rubber+mounts#p102166

The photos show some blue mounts being used, but Im guessing this is for a phase 1, are these blue mounts compatible with the ph2 also? If so does anyone know where to get them from?

thanks
Dan

The blue ones are aftermarket. Places like Demon Tweeks would sell those.

Renault OEM ones are part number 6020010729 £45.43 each

Blimey! how much? £45 for a bit of rubber!?! How many are needed? The parts diagram shows 2 but there are 4 prongs coming off the exhaust.

I wonder if any of these fit:

Each rubber requires two prongs.

Jesus Christ why are they so expensive? Surely these are just like any universal rubber exhaust mount? I'd definitely check that out before shelling out £90 (omg!) on two.

thanks for the replies guys, I'll get the back box and rubbers mounts off the car and see if anyone can match the mounts up at an exhaust place.

cheers
Dan

thought I'd post an update and pics on this subject. Should anyone require replacement exhaust back box mounts then a local exhaust specialist matched these up for me (see pics below)

they are made by a company called Klarius and are off a Ford Fiesta and cost £2.50 each as opposed to £45 each from Renault!

I'll see how they perform and post back later.

now all I need to do is clean 53k miles worth of crud from under the back of the car!
