ph1 remap??

Hi

just wondered if its worth having a remap done on a ph1? I remember years ago there was lots of talk of gains in excess of 15bhp is this all nonsense or fact.

I did a quick google search it seems motorsport developments(MSD) do a chip for the ph1. I know they are a very reputable outfit and invest alot of money in R&D. I have never heard of the results of their VEE chip/map but on cosworths and a few other marks they are very well trusted.

Anyone's opinions are most appreciated and if anyone has used another chip/tuner who offer a chip lets me know what were the resluts.

I think the overwhelming consensus is its nonsense.

To be honest, its a complete waste of time & money.

I think your just as likely to loose BHP as you are gain it, plus theres any other issues you may create (rough acceleration, lumpy idle, cold map issues, backfiring).

Nothing at all wrong with the standard map.
