I don't know the story, but it no longer wears the VIN it left the factory with.
It shows up as SABTVR03424216506.
SABTVR is a VIN assigned by DVLA. Could of been reshelled, could of been stolen/recovered and the VIN been scratched off, or something else? Be good to know the correct story for the records.

I might take a look at it once lockdown eases, as Leeds isn't that far from me
But the price looks pretty steep for what it is (compared to recent sales) plus the uncertainty over the VIN/shell needs clarifying, and do these cars suffer if they move less than 1,000 miles in 6 years?

There used to be a number of places you could get the VIN from the reg and the reg from the VIN for UK cars, but the change in the GDPR laws meant that lots of those sites removed the free checks. I've not found one for the UK since then. Only the US, Sweden and New Zealand seem to still offer this.
You can however still find it if you have accounts with companies that offer APIs that reveal the data, use proper trade software, or indeed if you do a proper paid vehicle check.
Somewhere like UK Vehicle Data or Autodata can help.

To elaborate on the car in question, FT02GGY was originally VF1C61A0625068315, which was first registered as V66LEO.
I know this to be true as the the engine number and registration dates match for both registrations. (F114915 and Mar-02 respectively). Engine numbers are unique. There is only oneF114915 in the world.

SABTVR chassis number is a VIN for cars that have chassis/body shell modifications or are new build, or stolen/recovered where they can't prove the original ID, or where they cannot prove that the majority of parts used for the car are original (or something like that).
I wonder if the original car got stacked and someone bought a new Clio shell from Renault (V6 shell...or not). I'd like a look around it at least
