Up for sale is a new baffled sump for a ph1 block, it has been bolted to an engine thats sat on the floor but its never had any oil in it yet so is still new.
I got this for an engine I'm building for someone, but due to finding a mint ph2 engine its now not needed. Looking for £150

Is that a europacup part? I've seen one before but I've never heard mention of them coming from europacup cars? I can't see it in the 89 or 90 europacup parts manuals either. Did they come on the very early cars?

manual from '88, they start using ph2 str. plate and sump in '89. The first season cup cars had compleet ph1 set up, with baffled sump.

ok stupid question time...

what makes is any different (or better) from the standard sump..

Dan - its baffled. Its a design that stops ( or tries to ) prevent oil starvation from high cornering loads.

If its baffled , it tries to keep the oil from sloshing around therefore mitigating the oil stavation

you're not thinking of a water pump???.....:icon_razz:

ok well the baffling is the only difference so I assumed that would have something to do with it...ha
