Ph1 #487 on ebay

This car is a repaired Cat C (from a long time ago), has a few minor known faults and is for sale with no reserve.

It looks pretty clean and complete in the photos.

The car is recorded on the register as being non-UK, with 88,000 kms on the clock (Jan 2011), so it looks like the instrument cluster has been changed as it now has 63,000 miles on.

It could just be a fun, usable project for little money.

An hour later and it heading for £7k. Perhaps it won't be the cheap bargain it may have been 5 years ago!

What's the betting then? I reckon £14,000.

Hi Mark, thats a different car, just to confirm there are two phase 1's [v6plaque]487[/v6plaque]. The UK one and and the non UK one.

If you look under the entry for the UK one you can see a picture of this car when it was rolled in 2010:

Looks to me to of been possibly repaired with a boggo 172 shell? I dread to think whats under the panels/covers if thats the case. All looks very strange in those photos with the door open.

I'd say an inspection before bidding is a must.

I have more photos of this car when it was written off and shortly after the repairs, but not any good ones under the skin.

That wouldn't appeal to me I'm afraid! But the damage to the shell may have been to the roof only, and replacing that with a standard Clio roof wouldn't be too hard to do right.
