Hi,
Two questions which I am hoping are related:
Sometimes when driving my car I notice a "whining" sound when steering - if I park up and slightly move the steering wheel to the left and then right I can hear a kind of rubbing noise, like a belt rubbing noise perhaps. It does seem that most of the time this doesn't happen and normally turning the car off and on again fixes the issue!
I'm not sure, but maybe it's related to low power steering fluid? This brings me on to my next question, where is it located!? The manual shows it's beside the engine coolant, to the left. Well, I've looked all over the place and it's not. I then read it's actually on the right... so, I went back out and checked. I can sort of see what may be a bottle with what may be a picture of a yellow steering wheel on a cap which I guess could be the bottle but it's probably my imagination and making images out of random drawings inside the engine bay. If it is the bottle, it looks a nightmare to get to (in that the entire plastic off the rear will need to be removed).
Any help, as always, is appreciated.
Thanks,
Ricky
