5 GT Turbo Original 195 x 55 x 13 tyres being remade

Apologies if this already posted, I've just logged in after several months.
Vintage Tyres are planning to remanufacture original size 195x55x13 tyres in period style tread pattern (I've asked for image of tread). They're being made by Avon and could be ready by end of this year. Please contact them if interested.

Thanks for updating on this, I've contacted VintageTyres and had a chat with them and they told me things were moving... but that was some time ago.

Good news - my Uniroyals are starting to get a bit crunchy.

I've asked for an image of the tread pattern which im assuming will be of a "period" style in fitting with age of original tyres. hopefully however the tread compound (by Avon) will be of modern style therefore offer far more grip than old uniroyals. just as an aside! has anyone tried tyre softening fluid? apparently it works (enought to banned in certain motorsport circles) don't know how long it would l as for tho

Just had email from vintage tyres NEW Avon turbospeec cr27 now available @ £130 each in 195/55/13 not cheap but look good and original.

Oh, the willy wavers, the "I can wave my PayPal harder than you" brigade will have
a field day, only encouraging a further price increase! I too will be happy to buy
3 Falken tyres for the cost of one of theirs, especially as I'd look really askance at
anyone telling me about a wrong tread pattern.

Look fine mate. If just road use, Yokohama a539 are ok too in 185/60.

Not that I know of. For sure they used to make a 195/55/13 tyre, but I believe the Michelin MXV was always the OE tyre, what with it being a French car and all that..?
