OIL LEAK.

G

Guest

There seems be an oil leak that has developed over night, it seems to be coming from the bottom of the cambelt cover.
Any ideas?? is this a common problem??
I was thinking it might be the crankshaft seal??

Thanks

seals inside the cambelt covers; cam seals, front crank seal, front housing seal, aux shaft seal could be any of these. Take the covers off and you will be able to see where the leak starts. If its oily right at the top its probably the cam seals.

The cam cover is a common source of leaks, and that can run behind the belt covers. Hopefully it's this one as it's easy to change.

Thanks for suggestions, i shall try and have a look tomorrow if i get chance
