Is there suppose to be oil around then clutch... I dont think there is.

sounds like the seal is leaking oil from the gearbox in put shaft mate

its still  running fine and dandy there was a few bolts missing before so i put some in n it stopped the leak fukin so tempted t weigh the shit hole in but i cant lol love it to much plus i got another clio at end off the month with amint gearbox n clutch etc so there coming out n going straight in shame utha clios heads blown

well mate if oil is gettin in to the clutch housing u probly dont have to change the clutch its oil on the plates . could b gearbox or the bottem end eg crank seal. o fuck springs to mind

nah the clutch has gone before it aint in the clutch housing i hope ill take a pik havnt really luked properly yet

Yeah there should not be any oil coming from those two faces - it has no gasket there for that exact purpose. Expect you'll be getting some clutch slip soon

so u reckon engine is fuked ? clutch plate has been gone or a long time nearly2 years but never leaked oil

another pick

looks similar to mine, got a puddle from both ends of the block.. not good, but you goto see the funny side!

Andy

whats so funny about my engine leaking oil n costing me more muny lmao i really dont find it funny i love this car r8 dnt wanna have to fork out for a new engine any help is greatfull

Where the crank comes out of the block (and also the area that the flywheel bolts to) there is a seal to stop oil coming from engine block and entering the clutch/housing. This has maybe gone, so gonna be an engine out job if this is the case, box and sump off - or possibly coming from gearbox side - job to say until you take it apart.
Obviously only my opinion

cheers dude blagged my dad for a new engine so pretty happy bout that but im still pushing for a new car i.e valver hehe just did an insurance quote £1600 for a valver and £891 for the 1.2 plus ive got another clio 1.2 coming end off the month so will have the parts to fix this and sell it off if im luky enough to get a valver hehe
