So I was on the phone to a colleague yesterday, and as he was walking into the office whilst still talking he asked me "are you here today?" I replied in the negative and asked why, and he said "Because there's some mad looking Renault like the one you told me you've got. It's got scoops. There's definitely an engine in the back."

Will have to make sure that I don't park my battle scarred and currently very dirty one near his in the car park then, on the rare occasions I go to the office and the even rarer occasions I drive the Vee (though I did today) .

Aside from MOT day, that's the first opportunity where all the pieces fell into place and I took the car out and drove it into the office. While it's not (and never will be) in concourse condition the fear of battle scarring does rather dictate where it's parked, so that's a rare spot indeed.

My more practical daily sometimes masquerades as the car I don't own...

...until you wind the windows down and you're reminded it's a diesel.
