Nitrous Dyno Chart

TRW1

New Member
Found my old chart from when I first fitted Nitrous.
(232.1 was ATW on Nitrous)

As far as I recall the car was standard. It had been Superchipped but was reverted to standard map as advanced ignition and nitrous don't mix well.
I may have had a filter on. Setup starts from about £5-600 if you install it yourself. Mine was quite a bit more as I had 2 big polished bottles and a Progressive controller.

yes definately..i have a filter/exaust rear box on mine..wouldnt install it myself anyways...

u got a website/contact details?

Not losing much at the wheels also. 16% transmission loss is pretty good!

Using the same percentage thats around 180-185 at the wheels standard.

Hope my atw figure is around the same as that.

i got nos on mine...nice kick at full throttle...
50 jets in at the mo..75's in my tool box ready...
fitted it myself at my garage.

Insurance; I'm with Greenlight, massive list of mods including nitrous, all declared, £900.
Roundabouts can be interesting in a standard V. Nitrous is for straightline blasts.

Dies we have to have an uprated clutch, gearbox, exhaust and airfilter to use 50 jets on a std V6 255?

Are those figures with 50 jets btw?

Simon

50 jets will be fine but the 255 seams to have a weaker clutch for some reason.
simon ...if you fit it just get going before you use it...3rd and 4th gear it is awsome..

Yeah I've had one new clutch already (at 7500 miles, warranty job)
but yeah I would use more for in gear accelartion mostly I guess, I don't do "Stanta Pod" days....lol
Although I see Yozzsport has an uprated trophy clutch, do you know anything about them?

Simon

BTW, Wizards of Nos recommend changing the sparks plugs, do you know what make and type I should be getting If i go the NOS route?

Simon

I run NGK along with Trophy coils. I can find part numbers if you need. Really worth doing the coils too as they give a much improved spark which you'll need to get the best from the nitrous.

Figures were with 50 jets and bottle pressure at 900psi.
If you don't have a bottle heater and it's cold you wouldn't get near a 50bhp gain.

Note that Nitrous was activated at about 2700rpm.
If you activated at 4500rpm obviously you'd get a totally different chart and the massive torque would then come in there rather than tailing away by then.

you know it makes sence !! uprated trophy cluch and coils and 50 shot of nos !!!!
