Shacks, i had a Ph1 for 5 years and a Ph2 for 2 years and i luvved em mate .. i sold my Ph1 to buy my 21t actually.
The 1916v is obviously not as powerfull as the 21t but that dont make it a bad car, it makes up for it on the handle i would say .... the thing is with the 1916v power is that it is useable power, but admittingly it maybe could have done with a bit more torque.
Imo the 1916v handles better than the 21t but it is a smaller lighter car, i reckon my 19's were the best handling cars i have owned so far tbh ..
The sound of them 16 valves in that F7P on full song always brought a smile to my face .... the steering feel was perfect in them and the gearchange was liquid, and i always thought the sitting postion was nice in them with the dash being higher up and the seats are just lush ... a cosy place to be ..
I was a passenger in one a wee while back and the guy was really caning it round the back roads and i had forgotten how good they were ..
We also own a Ph1 Megane 2.0ltr 16v and as you know it basically a reshelled 1916v, so i get my normally aspirated kicks from that as its just like being back in a 1916v .. except with abit more power and torque.
I have no experiance of Quadra's im afraid
Shacks, have you ever thought about doing a Megane 2.0ltr 16v conversion on a 1916v ? ... im sure it would really transform the car and your keeping in the the Renault F7 family ...
