Nice line-up at Monaco

after seeing videos on youtube of the work that has gone into it and the specialist components used I can see that it is worth £30k+ but losing the back seats really is a killer.

Plus with all the effort with a dynamic testing car and "hoping it will be as influential as the 5 Turbo and Clio V6" means they must be making it a production car.
Below is a link to a video from Monaco of all the cars in the first picture. not much of the V6 unfortunately.
And as for the Pistonheads thread it has degenerated into a who makes the best hot hatch thread with ludicrous comments about it being VW with the POLO GTi ! or sales figures being the way to judge and therefore the 206 or 208 GTi. I've stopped reading it.

Looks to be a stock base shell and no cage apparent so should be able to retrofit back seats for those who need them? ColinG :approve:

I've heard of a few people retro fitting back seats in the Mini GP works but apparently it's a bitch.

Wish I could justify one as I'm sure it will be epic!

If I had 35k to spend on a new car I think it would have to be abit more sensible & get a Golf R estate.

I'm ready to sign for one of these now if it's made, to sit along side the V6 and Cup.

Bloody 'ring times!!!! Who gives a monkeys lol I think it looks great and if there are some pretty special one off parts on it then I can see why there will be a higher price tag. HOWEVER, I can't see why it so hard to take a lightweight clio shell, add the 2.0l Turbo engine with a cheap gearbox they already produce, add a set of brakes they already produce, add a poverty spec non leather interior and then go and sell the to the masses and move the true hot hatch game further on once again. Now I understand the argument that "those parts don't just bolt on etc etc" but the truth of the matter is, they do. And I can appreciate that a faster clio in current guise would potentially compete with the bigger brother Megane. Why? Because a faster clio would offer a similar interior, driving dynamics and day to day living conditions as each other. The Megane is the perfect flag ship hot hatch for the typical owner who's prepared to pay for all the silly gadgets for a pleasant daily and great at everything. But offering a car that is lighter, faster, less trick but obviously cheaper than these big number cars bring the different owners out the wood work.....drivers.

Just remembered, Renault has already built this car. The 182 cup.
