New steering wheel

After wanting to change the steering wheel on the vee for a while, i decided that a Clio 197 wheel would be perfect.
Was told it wouldn't fit but here is the proof.
Feels a lot better when driving. This is the way it should have been from the start.

Seats and steering wheel are the mods i want most for LY300 but do all the buttons work for the 197 wheel?

Thanks for the compliments guys.

The buttons should work ok but i haven't tried them yet. I got an old cruise control loom and cut the plug off it and soldered it onto the one on the wheel. This would make sure that i could return the standard wheel on to the car if i was to sell it.

Only problem was the airbag plug. Removed a bit of plastic from the connector and it fits great. It has a dual stage airbag and had 2 Renault 'RTE' technicians check it on their 'Clip' computer when it was fitted and no problems were showing and no airbag light illuminated. They also checked the cruise control buttons on 'Clip' and all worked ok. Not tried the cruise on the road though.

Bought the trim from Renault and painted it Mars Red myself and fitted a silver 'Renault Sport' decal to keep it the same colour as on the previous wheel.

Makes a big difference with the wheel and the Recaros. Hopefully get it out for a blast tomorrow, weather permitting.

Not too sure about that price. I heard it was the price as an option if you were ordering a new 197. There may be some substance in this cos the airbag was around £190.00 from the dealers. I got it from them for £164.00. I paid, i think, £70.00 for the wheel off ebay and then a £10.00 for a used cruise control loom. £18.00 for the trim and £15.00 for the paint and finally £3 for the decal.

Well worth the money to be honest. Really happy with it.
