New old stock leather interior

Morning all,

I’m more of a reader than a poster but thought this would interest some given it’s relative rarity. My Vee has the ID pack interior, which after 50k of miles is starting to look a little worn on the drivers seat. The wear is nothing major, but when an opportunity arose to buy a set of new, old stock leather interior in the right colour I couldn’t resist it!

Pics below (assuming I’m working this forum correctly):

It’s surprising how much padding there is inside the seats! They’ll be getting fitted on the next visit to Scott.

That was an impossible buy! I salute you!

Was it ‘bolster wear’ with the original or just ‘general cracking’?

Wonderful! What a great find. Thanks for sharing.

Where do you find them from?

Do make sure you keep the old ones just in case!

The bolster is in good condition relative to the age/mileage, the ‘shoulder’ bolster had some early signs of cracking but nothing significant, only really noticeable because of the light colour of the seats. I expect most people would not have considered an upgrade but I couldn’t say no.

I found an old post on here about someone who bought the pallet of old stock, after following the thread to a chap in the Netherlands I ended up talking to a chap off V6passion who had the stock in his warehouse. Many messages later and it was en route to me from France.

Definitely keeping the current covers should I ever sell the car.
