New Corbeau Bucket Seats

Just came across these:

I had a quick chat with Corbeau and this is what they came up with:

-Hi, what's the weight of the new Club Sport bucket seats with side mounts?
-Hi, the standard Club sport is about 14kg and the Excel is about 15kg!
-Thanks, any idea if they would easily fit in a Clio V6?
-I'm afraid they won't fit with our mounts, you would have to get a welder to fabricate some together. If you have a local welder they could easily measure up some runners and weld them in for you but we don't stock any that fit the Clio V6.

So basically, if I get these seats should I get someone to make custom mounts or you guys know any other options?

Try again, but just say its for a mk2 Clio, like a 172/182. I cant believe they dont make one for a mk2 Clio..

[smilie=icon_eek.gif] That's heavy for a bucket seat! Mine are only 8.74kg each and they're just run of the mill, not carbon kevlar specials.

I have also spoken to them regarding fitting these seats to a MK2 clio this was there response.

"A source tells us yes but you would have to measure them up to our seats to double check, on our subframe sheet it indicates that it would fit to a Renault clio but doesn't state the year of the model, so you would need to double check."

MikeT (he of V6 supercharged fame) had Corbeau seats. That was several years ago.

Haven't seen them elsewhere in Vees.

I love those seats. They look like Recaro Pole position, but with a much better price.
But they come with side mounts and runners on their side, but this doesn't fit a Clio?

I think you need the OMP subframes in order to fit these seats but from what I've seen in other forums, the OMP subframes don't fit flat and need some spacers in the side closer to the handbrake to get them parallel with the floor.

Anyone has proved this here?

I had Corbeau seats in my Mk2 1.2 and had the frames which fitted the seats into the Clio.

I sold them too a mate, who I'm sure has them lying about in his garage. Does it sound like these would fit into the V6? (Mk1/2 V6 the same layout?)

They do seem a very good price but I dont think they would suit the Mk1 V6 with dark seats

They do fit in with the use of OMP frames etc,you could also bolt a slider to the subframe Inbetween the seat if needed but obviously raises the height again.
